| Who Are We? The Natural History Society is one of the oldest environmental group in Puerto Rico. Since its founding in 1960, our prime objective has been to promote the study, conservation and appreciation of our environment and natural resources. We do so by activities that include monthly conferences and field trips, and periodic committee and special interest activities such as archeology, astronomy, camping, bird watching, marine life and exploration.
The Society is a not-for-profit organization, duly organized and registered under the laws of Puerto Rico. Modest membership dues and donations from private citizens and other entities support it. It is a member of the Caribbean Conservation Association, an alliance of similar-minded organizations in the Caribbean area. Our organization is open to all sharing a concern for our environment and natural resources and sympathizing with our goals of educating, enjoying and conserving them. Interested?
